Health Office

A note from our school nurse:

FLU SEASON IS NOT EVEN HALF OVER. Your best chance at not getting the flu is to receive a flu vaccine. If you get the flu stay home until your fever is gone for 24 hours without the use of medication. Unless your symptoms are severe (continued high fever or shortness of breath) it is not usually necessary to go to the doctor.

The Health Office is staffed by a part-time School Nurse and a full time Health Assistant. All students receive first aid for all kinds of injuries and illnesses. Every year Kindergarteners, 1st, and 5th graders receive health screenings such as vision, hearing, height and weight. The goal of the Health Office is to make sure students are healthy so that they can be successful learners.
